CORPORATE INTRODUCTION
ELECTROSCON SDN BHD (ESB) is a wholly owned subsidiary of ELECTROSCON HOLDINGS
SDN BHD. By statutory definitions, both companies are BUMIPUTRA
COMPANIES.
From its inception in 1971, ESB has been awarded contracts by the
Country’s Telecommunication Authority – Jabatan Telekom Malaysia
– to install telecommunication lines in Peninsular Malaysia. With
its good track record, ESB was selected in 1983 by Jabatan Telekom Malaysia
to DESIGN, SUPPLY, INSTALL and COMMISSION their Telecommunications
Network Systems on a TURNKEY BASIS worth RM 636 million which was
completed successfully. With the move by the major Telecommunication
Operators towards Fiber Optic Cable (FOC), ESB has kept itself in the
forefront of this technology and was award a contract in 1991 to
design, supply, install, test and commission the telecommunication network
system along the North-South Expressway in Malaysia using fibre optic
cable. ESB was also awarded contracts by both the operations of the
Light Rail Transit (LRT) System (STAR and PUTRA) in Kuala Lumpur for the communication
package in 1997.
While maintaining the expertise in construction of fixed line network,
the company has also moved into the wireless communication sectors. The
Company has the capability to plan, design, install, test and
commissioning a complete base station and has undertake works for some
of the mobile phone operators in Malaysia.
The Company has also diversified into the Oil & Gas industry and
has undertaken works for the installation of gas pipe line and
communication system for oil platform.
The Company presently has a work force of 150 staff with offices in
Shah Alam, Johore Bahru, Malacca, Batu Pahat,
Singapore, Bangkok and Hanoi.
The strength of ESB is in its project management skill which over the
years the company has developed the management procedures and system.
Apart from undertaking multi million Ringgit on turnkey basis, the
company is also able to integrate systems according to client's
specific need.

EXPANSION INTO THE REGIONAL
MARKET
ESB has moved into the REGIONAL MARKET of the nearby
ASEAN Countries
In 1995, PT ELECTROSCON SARANA UTAMA, a subsidiary company was formed
on a joint-venture basis to undertake telecommunication projects in Indonesia.
It has undertaken works in Sulawesi.
In 1996, another wholly-owned subsidiary, PT ELECTROSCON INDO UTAMA was
formed to undertake Optic Fiber installation works along the railway
network in Java
Island for PT
Tripatra Engineering who is the principal contractor for PT
Excelcomindo Pratama. While being managed by ESB Malaysia, we
successfully completed the fiber installation project valued at RM 9.0
million.
Inter Phonet Construction Co. Ltd., Thailand
was acquired in 1996 and this subsidiary has undertaken
telecommunication works on a turnkey basis for fixed lines using both
copper and optic fiber, construction and commissioning of base station
for wireless phone and construction of cable network system for cable
TV in Thailand.
